The simplicity of black and white astounds me.

1 year

1 year and 139 posts ago, I started this blog for a probably very transparent reason. But nonetheless, I stuck with it, and although now I rarely use it, it still stands as a monument of a past year.

I learned a lot about myself, who I was, who I wanted to be, and who I realized I could never be. Unfortunately, the last two categories are almost one and the same.

The realization of how easy it is to forgo my morals for my wishes was shocking, and if anything, is the most important thing I learned from this.

Thanks for reading for a year.

Hopefully, tabula rasa.

From Westfields to Willie "Woo Woo" Wong Playground

"Berkley N****!"

Ha!

Black Friday was surprisingly Asian.

It made me love San Francisco even more than before.

It made me realize how much I miss Chinatown.

It made me remember roaming the Zeum and Metreon as a child.

It also made me hate BART, because I can't forget the lady yelling at me, "in the grey sports jacket". It's all in the name of art, art for arts sake, and life for art.

I also was really happy to be con mis amigos y amigas, y me gusta caminar mientras cogidos manos. I hope that means what Yahoo Answers tells me it means.

It was really nice revisiting the places of gone-by times.

TVLAND was my channel

Shows I used to watch.

  • Happy Days (Fonz is so cool)
  • Get Smart (Not that terrible abomination of a movie)
  • Gilligan's Island (I liked the Professor, obviously)
  • I Love Lucy (Ricky sings well)

On why I will never wear Mardi Gras beads and Veterans day.

  • On why I will never wear Mardi Gras beads.

For my eighth grade graduation dance, our theme was "Mardi Gras". So the entire cafeteria was decorated with Mardi Gras stuff, including many masks, and I distinctly remember the wallpaper having a silhouette of a saxophone player on it, which was mildly cool. But the wallpaper was repeated every 5 feet or so, so there were an army of saxophone silhouette players in the exact same stance all of the cafeteria. Which was kinda tacky. There were balloons, a DJ, and Mardi Gras beads. There were A LOT of Mardi Gras beads. We messed around during the dance, throwing them at each other, and breaking them, and getting them covered with sticky soda. We all took some home, the ones that weren't broken or covered with food and soda. I still have a bunch in a treasure chest.

Two days ago, I was channel surfing on the TV before I showered, and I saw a documentary called, "MARDI GRAS: MADE IN CHINA", and it told the story of the people in China who live in dangerous conditions just to make Mardi Gras beads, masks, and various other trinkets and paraphernalia. I only watched for 10 minutes, but it was very shocking. They worked for 14 hours a day, doing the same job. If they didn't pay attention, the machines could cut right through their fingers. If caught talking, they would be fined a whole day's work. They're paid unfair wages too. For every 12 Mardi Gras necklaces you buy, they only get $o.o1. One cent. They don't even know what the necklaces are used for in the United States, and could never dream of living in the extravagance and excess of Mardi Gras. Sorry if I'm beginning to rant.
  • On Veterans Day

We marched and played. Smelled burning flag. Reminded me of Kilgore.

I don't know how to embed, so here is the link. :p

"Love the smell of napalm in the morning." All I could think of was "Love the smell of burning flag." I loled inside. xD
"Smells like ... victory... Someday, this war is gonna end."

Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit

In 5th grade, my computers teacher told me that if the first thing you say on the first of a new month is "Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit", you get good luck. :)

Just so you know.

Today is un dia especial. Time falls back. November Jai Ho too. I hope he does something special for her today on their one month. The leaf blower outside is annoying me.

I learned a lot about human nature at the Halloween party, and I'm not sure I wanted to know some of the things I learned. I had rather hoped that the altruistic side of humanity would always prevail over selfish greed and desires, but I believe I am wrong. I lost my respect for a lot of people there, but also gained much more respect for others.

With some friends, there is no social pressure, no need to be accepted, and everyone there is there as is. No disillusionment, just pure pwnage.

But with others, you're concealing your true self to be what everyone else wants you to be. It's a constant game of masquerade, switching masks and costumes.

I guess in the end, that's the way life is. Disillusioning though. Sorry for the rather absurd post.

The weather deteriorates.

It is deserted...

Such a mass exodus.

I feel like I'm in a ghost town. Is anyone here?

Nonetheless, the weather is so psychotic.

It was nice having sunshine yesterday, but I miss the rain. The scent of the world after a downpour is my favorite smell in the world. But the feeling of the mass of electrons smashing into the world was worth it indeed.

Homecoming is this week, and I really want to help out my year with the float, but time simply escapes me. Friday shall be the day of eternal music and art, never to end or cease. Jazz Band, Rally, Homecoming Parade, Music Theory, then GameTIME.

And if time would be so gracious, add Litmag and Forensics to that list.

The whole world is sisyphean right now, as my herculean task shall never be finished, but forced to cycle for eternity, like f(x)=sin x. Just when I think I've finished, I pass π/2 and the onerous task continues.

Notime

Not enough time to do a full post.

Sorry.

School is getting harder.

I can't believe this is the fabled high school years of yore.

"IT JUST DOESN'T DIE!!! D: "

Tiring weekend.

Friday was cool. Spartans decimated the Dons. That'll teach them for (most likely) tagging our school. I think one of the taggers ran into me as they left? 0-0

Went to pizza. There was no room to sit, so I stood. It was fun, hanging out on the sidelines, and watching other people eat, slightly stalker-ish. I learned a lot about people, just by watching them eat and them interacting with others. It was a fun sort of social observation. I learned a LOT, but I can't tell you, Dear Reader, because I might compliment/insult you. Sorry. Then I got bored.

Saturday was Funny. We went to Bayfront Park to do beautification for Forensics. My friends and I encountered this one weed that just WOULD NOT DIE. We dug and cut it for half an hour, but that thing was monstrous. It was growing faster than we could kill it. D: When we finally gave up, some how a cigarette butt got knocked into the hole where the demon plant was, and it looked like it was smoking and mocking us. We buried the plant. Try and grow without sunlight, b****.

Ugh. I still have to play piano tonight. Dang. D:

HEYYY!!!! ITSSS A BIRRTTHDAYYY TOODAYYY!!!!

AND IT'SSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

CHINNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSS.

Happy 60 Communist years China.

I'm tired.
Yesterday was A.G.'s birthday, but he had a migraine and went home. D:

Today was tiring on my lips.
Jazz Band, Sectionals, Symphonic Band, Lessons, and Practice. I'm going to end up with bleeding lips.

Blarggg.

I'm currently listening to "Starlight Express" by Andrew Lloyd Weber. I have to say, when the boy says, "THIS IS CONTROL" it freaks me out. I want to see the musical though. But I like the jazz/rock/blues feel of it. Did you know that the sequel to "The Phantom of the Opera" premieres on October 8th? And it's called "Phantom: Love Never Dies". And apparently Erik goes to America and runs a freakshow? I think it's going to fail miserably. I hope not though. I'm excited for it! :D
