The simplicity of black and white astounds me.

Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!

I am going to Princeton. But I still have lots of stuff to prepare. I need to...
  1. book flight
  2. complete medical
  3. mail payment
  4. mail room request
And all of that was due... Yesterday.

Let there be no Pyrenees!

P.S. Pyrenees - Mountain range in France
P.P.S -Let there be no Pyrenees! - Let there be no barriers!

Um. Ok. Still trying to gather money. I think that I think about that even more than 60 seconds a minute. Thursday was a good day all in all. I LOVE RED ONION! They actually said that they might be able to help me with Princeton! YEAH!

If anything, I've learned that although most people want to help, they can't because of financial or corporatism restraints. There is still good left in the world!

My whole world is like the "Twilight Zone"... It changes so much everyday. Everyday is like a new episode, and I don't remember what happened yesterday. I've got more stuff to do than stuffing in a Thanksgiving turkey. Get it? Ha. Everyday is filled with small complications that don't matter in the long run, but yet it bothers me like a fly on a cow. Not that I'm a cow. Or I might be in the next episode. Ahh... that was back when television was actually good. I wish I lived back then.

For my English Final, we have to FILM/REENACT a part of MACBETH. My camcorder is so old. And I'm Macbeth. Hehehe... Assassination! That's why I'm all dressed up today, in case you were wondering! Plus I got my lamp, tripod and camcorder! No camera for me today!

I'm feeling very good today. Plus, later we have the WE PARTY!! Yay! I'm excited. I bought a lot of food with the money you guys gave me! IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME! But global warming is bad guys.

I need new headphones. Ok. Bye!

Closing the gap. (Not really)

I NEED JSA MONEY SO BAD. I'M PROBABLY NOT GOING TO GO BECAUSE LACK OF MONEY. FUND RAISED :$0 WHY WON'T THEY GIVE ME MONEY!!!!!!

Yesterday was a really busy day.
In band we sightread some music, and it seems next year there will be a lot of horn pieces next year, which really worries me. I'm not really ready for heavy duty horn playing, seeing as my lips get tired just from playing Pomp and Circumstance. I'm afraid to play some of the music, and it seems very... scary.

Then, in 5th period (Advanced Placement Biology), we had to dig through owl pellets. There was a lot of fur in them. And although it was really disgusting and made me want to return my lunch, it was also pretty cool. We found a skull, and lots of bones. I could even see the little teeth. I think that it was from a shrew? Plus there were a lot of fans on, so all the debris from the owl pellets were flying in the breeze. Eeew.

In 6th period (World History), we had a substitute, and although I thought he was pretty boring before, it turns out he's pretty cool. He had a discussion with us about gay marriage, (like a JSA thought talk?) and he moderated.

Then I had my last horn lesson of the year. It makes me sad to see that the end of the year is happening so fast. Already, I've gone through half of my high school. :(

Then I had to rush to Contra Costa College to register for summer classes if I can't go to JSA PRINCETON! D:

Then I had to rush back to school for a College Financial Planning presentation.

Gosh, I'm tired.

1 minute in my mind.

20 seconds - Worrying over JSA fundraising.
15 seconds - Worrying over school.
10 seconds - Worrying over summer.
5 seconds - Trying not to worry.
5 seconds - Worrying over friends.
2 seconds - Worrying over strange feeling in stomach.
1 second - Worrying about myself.
1 second - Hungry
1 second - Thirsty

2 Gas Stations, 1 Convenience Store, 1 Music store, 1 Bank, 2 Supermarkets, 1 Cellular Store, and 5 Resturaunts Later...

I have raised...

(Drum roll please...)

$0.

Actually, $-1, because I had to print out the letters.
Sigh*
I can't believe that I need an extra $4000 still...
I need a job...
Probably over the summer.
Or a sponsor to help me get to Princeton.
If you know where I can get either one, please tell me.
Thanks.
Slowly uploading more photos.
Check them out.
I abandoned Photobucket due to its seeming lack of interest and professionalism.
Farewell for now.

Yay! Got into Jazz Band.

But I'm sad because I think that Mr. Castro should have gotten in also.
Not much else.
Needs to buy new scissors for Mrs. Macdonald because someone (cough) broke them.

Is Finally Finished With Photography

Yay! I'm finished with photography. I'm still slowly uploading my pictures to Flickr, so give me time. I tried to burn my compact disc on a Windows, but it wouldn't run on a Macintosh. But my teacher helped me burn another one. Yay. If you like photography, you should take the class. Its kinda useful and it is pretty fun. But anyways, now I have an extra disc of my pictures. If you want it, you can tell me! Distribution! Yay! I should start charging prices later. I need to raise $4000 still... I really hope that the school will help out with this one...

Twinge of regret

After mulling over it the whole weekend, I'm not so sure I want to go to Jazz band.
I don't really think I'm good enough for it.
*Sigh*

Anyways, I finally finished my photography project, which I'm really happy about.
I'll slowly put them on to Flickr, but it's going to take some time, because I don't have time. If that makes and sense at all. I've been listening to a lot of Canon in D now, I don't know why. It so, soothing. I'm tired. I can't tell if my Razr is a original Razr or a Razr V3. I hope I will pass Digital Photography with an A, because my pictures are really, for lack of a better word, bad.
Can't wait yet hate the end of the school year.

I had a bad day. So what?

Friday was a bad day.
Got yelled at by band teacher.
I can't sight read at all...
Broke my cellphone...
But it's all okay.
I'll get over it all.
I now have a original first-generation Razr.
:D

It's so... primitive.
Just kidding.
I'm going to upload my Macro pictures to Flickr now.
Bye!

Culinary Friday!

Yay! When I was young, there were three careers I wanted to pursue-
  1. Aircraft Pilot
  2. Doctor
  3. Chef
This last week, I discovered two great tasting combinations.

Rock Candy + Microwave = Liquid sugar

I put it on a toothpick and it was fun to mess with it before it hardened.

Yogurt + Banana = Yogurt-covered Banana

Tasty as well.

That's it for the Culinary part.
I'm discovering a lot more music now.
I'm almost finished with the 2nd and halfway through the 3rd photography projects.
I'm never going to finish on time...

Are You Real?

For Trumpet Jazz Band Tryouts, I am playing Mike Metheny's Cornet Solo on "Are You Real".
Except I play it 4x as slow as he does.
For Piano, I am playing "The Dream of Olwen". It's one of my favorite pieces. But I'm going to foul it up because I haven't played for a long time
Having not practiced in a long time, I forgot how fun piano was.
Photography project is impending doom.
I only have 1 and 9/10's of projects done.
Anyways, that's about it. More later I guess.

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

Piano is not my forte.

Fail on the piano today. D:
It's Okay though, because I'm trying out for Jazz Band on the Trumpet as well.
I don't even think I want to play piano for Jazz Band now... Looks REALLY hard to sight read.
My style of learning is basically play the same piece for ages until I get it right. Sight reading is nonexistent in my world.
Hope I do better on trumpet.
Going to talk to people, ask for money for PRINCETON!
$4000 more to go...
Maybe I just won't go...
I'm almost finished with my second set of eight photos. But I forgot my camera...
Now I'm a full day behind on pictures...
But I must say, the Body Parts pictures look awesome. Thanks to everyone who let me steal parts of their body from them.
Photobucket versus Flickr. Flickr is winning for sheer completeness and neatness.
Photobucket looks a mess, and lower quality. But it's got no limits that I know of.
AIM versus Meebo. Meebo winning for no advertisements. But AIM looks more exciting.
Today is Wednesday. I want to make a plog. Its a Paper LOG. Because Blogs are weB LOGS. Get it? Nevermind.
Did you notice there are no gaping holes today?
P.S. Fixed Photobucket Link.

No song title today. I've got revelations!

Hello All. I really hate the current format of the blog. You probably do too. It's annoying right? So, I believe that I'll make a few changes later. But for now, I'll going to try to do this paragraph style. Trying out for Jazz Band. Insert [fear] here. I'm really scared about it. But I'm more scared about my photography project. So if I take pictures of you, don't get freaked out. This blog is too focused on me. I think I should start a new blog, this one doesn't accomplish what I want it to. I need to widen my horizons, and use a wide-angle lens instead of a telephoto lens, if you know what I mean. I'll post more later. I've gotten a Photobucket and a Flickr, and I'm comparing them. I like flickr because of the layout is more calming and it was made by Yahoo! (Best Company Ever!), but it has upload limits. I like Photobucket because it has no limits, (or that I know of yet). I've uploaded the first of 8 of my photography projects. You can check it out at Photobucket or Flickr. Hopefully I hyperlinked the right thing. Later!

In the cold gray light of dawn an eagle flies, And the men are happy wearing matching ties

Flickr-Jonathan Coulton

Yes, it's a song.

After I saw my friend's flickr, I wanted one for three reasons.

  1. Looks uber-cool.
  2. Photobucket is blocked at school
  3. Flickr isn't.
Um.

By the way, I have to do a project for my photography class.

Would anyone be willing to pose ridiculously with an egg for me?

Thanks.

Um...

I've been thinking, and next post I'll probably do a two-part epic about my dreams.

To-do list for the rest of the year.

  1. Destroy the Rising Sun
  2. Survive
  3. Do SAT for Biology, Math, and World History
  4. Do AP Biology
  5. Fundraise to go to Princeton
  6. Do 96 photos for Photography
  7. Survive again
  8. Sleep
  9. Grow to at least 5'10"
  10. Do WE visitations
  11. Finish selling Literary Magazines
  12. Get better at Badminton
Yeah...

I like my dad's Sansa music player. It's very convenient.

Tired...

Um.

Check out my story for a children's book.

Don't tell me it sucks, I know it does.

Chapter 1

A long time ago in a foreign land there was a wonderful kingdom full of happiness and adventure. There lived many happy citizens of the country, but there were three outstanding people. There was a great Archer, who was rumored to be able to hit a bird soaring in the sky without killing it. There was a powerful Swordsman, who could overpower a bear with one hand. Lastly, there lived a Magician who could cure any disease that existed. But there was a problem. In that kingdom, there lived a plague. And it couldn’t be killed, cured, or taken away. It was burdening the people of the land, and everyone suffered from it. Even the three Heroes were affected. Everyone became lethargic and tired. No one wanted to work or even do anything. They all just wanted to do nothing.

One gloomy morning, a mysterious cloaked man came to the nation, and proclaimed that a cure existed. However, it was a far distance from the kingdom, and it was guarded by many monsters that were fierce, fearsome, frightful, and worst of all, evil. So the Archer, Swordsman, and the Magician took off to find the cure, braving misery, unhappiness, and even death.

Chapter 2

Along the way, the Archer, the Magician, and the Swordsman faced a large evil dragon. It had blood red eyes and large black teeth. Its wings blocked out the sun, and its tail was thicker than a trunk of a tree. First the Swordsman tried to cut off its tail, but the scales on its body protected it.

Next, the Magician attempted to conjure a pillar of fire to obliterate it, but unfortunately the dragon just flew away and dodged it. Lastly, the Archer shot a single arrow into the dragon’s eye. It punctured the dragon’s eye, and the whole dragon popped and exploded like a balloon.

Next, they encountered a giant snake. It had 100 heads on one body, and it was as quick as lightning. First, the Magician tried to create a sandstorm to confuse it, but the snake wasn’t vulnerable. Then the Archer shot an arrow and killed one head, but there were still 99 more to go. Finally the Swordsman grabbed the whole snake, held the 99 heads together, and tied the whole thing into a massive knot. The snake, confused and tangled up, was helpless but to watch the three heroes continue on.

Then, they came upon an enormous bee hive. There were millions of bees inside, and each was as deadly as poison. The Swordsman tried to crush each one, but there were too many for him to use his skills. The Archer too, was bested by the sheer number of bees. However, the Magician cast a spell and the entire bee hive was covered with smoke. The bees couldn’t see the three heroes, and so they continued on to the final beast.

Chapter 3

The Final Beast was a terribly frightening. It was a beast shrouded in darkness and evil. In fact, the whole beast was a fog of darkness. It loomed over the landscape, and was so dark, it even dimmed their torches. The Swordsman tried to cut the mist, but to no effect. The Archer too, tried to shoot the fog, but to no effect as well. The magician was blinded by the darkness. The fog loomed and was impervious to all of the attacks by the heroes. The darkness made it impossible for the three heroes to find the cure.

Defeated, the heroes returned home. On the way back, they had an epiphany. They realized that they had already found the true cure. It was the adventure, the bravery and the friendship they found on the adventure. At home, they spread the word about their findings. Everyone lost their lethargy and became happy once again. The three heroes were revered by everyone, and everyone lived happily ever after.

Farewell, my fiends.

You're so ahead of yourself, you forgot what you need.

Dream on, but don't believe that they'll all come true.

Vienna-Billy Joel.

So happy in Disneyland.

It sucks to be wretched from the happiest place on earth and moved to... here.

Sigh*

I miss it already.

Um.

Don't want to bore you with a bunch of stories from Disneyland, so I'll just post a top 10 list.

  1. Splash Mountain 4 times in a row
  2. Space Mountain with Nez
  3. California Screamin' 2 times in a row
  4. Missing Friday's School
  5. Music Workshop
  6. Moving Bus + Food = Mess
  7. Taking advantage of the Buffet at Captain Kidd's
  8. Hanging out with Mr. Woo and Mr. Guevara
  9. Resisting temptation to buy a $3 churro
  10. Disneyland in general
Yay.

I might post some pictures, but I might also procrastinate.

I probably won't blog for about a week, because of fund raising for JSA and the Advanced Placement Biology Test.

Wish me luck!

Really tired,
